On the morning of our 7th day road trip to Dubbo, I was awake very early as I wanted to enjoy the grounds before we headed up to have breakfast in the restaurant before leaving. We thoroughly enjoyed stretching our legs walking around the very pretty town of Armidale. There was a large park just a short stroll from our motel. There were lots of birds but I was hoping to capture the Black Cockatoo. Day 1 of Lindy and my road trip to Dubbo. We planned on staying at Armidale on the first night allowing us enough time to stop off at the Queen Mary Falls.The drive to the falls was very dry but Picturesque. We enjoyed the drive to the falls winding up through the gorgeous rainforest stopping on the side of the road to witness to sound of thousands of Bell Minors   Bell miners are commonly known as the Bell Bird.
