It is not always easy to spot the tiny Wrens but if you are lucky to spot them, you will find them just amazing to watch especially in their breeding season when the males are busy keeping an eye on all his females. Most wrens are very small and very quick and when not breeding they can be hard to find. The Variegated Fairy-Wren below is so colourful especially the male. Their size is 11cm-14.5cm.They breed from July-Mar  and a female will lay 3-4 eggs. I go to as many garden festivals and open gardens that I can. I like using my macro lens with an external flash, but not all of these have been taken with my macro lens. These are just a few photos that I took about 11 months ago. In the ones below I used natural early morning light to capture these flowers I hope you have enjoyed these few photos, I took hundreds of photos at this event so will try to post some more in the near future
