Corella With A Bad Attitude
We all have our good days and not so good days, and this Corella looks pretty cute and innocent. We have a couple pop in from time to time but a couple of weekends ago hubby and were enjoying a cool drink under our back patio when a flock of about 30 Corella's started landing on our lawn. A couple of Sulphur Crested Cockatoos were enjoying some seed from the seed tray when the Corella's started flying up and chasing off all the other birds. Then just one started fighting all the other Corella's. The noise was horrific
There were feathers everywhere
We were so close to them I couldn't fit all of the birds in the photo
He really got out of bed on the wrong side that day
The squarking was very loud
He would get rid of one, and another one would try
They were using their massive wing spam as a dominating gesture
They were also using their claws in their fighting
The fighting continued for about 45 minutes
We were all very happy when the 30 plus all flew off together. Our regular Corella's watched from in the trees like this little guy below.
The bad attitude of one bird made it unpleasant for all the other birds and us.
